I’m trying to balance the heavy meat options of Whole30 with lots of veggies so my stomach doesn’t hate me! This is a great option for lunch or dinner that keeps me full and satisfied and not hating meal time. The salad has crunch, creaminess and a mediterranean feel to it that I absolutely love.

Whole30/Paleo Strawberry and Avocado Chicken
I was craving chicken tonight instead of mussels, so I changed the order of the week around a little bit. And I’m glad I did! This dinner is a taste of summer in the dead of winter and exactly what I needed tonight. It’s been so cold, the only way to make it through is […]
Whole30/Paleo Vegetarian Power Bowl
On Monday’s, I try to eat meatless which is hard on Whole30 given how meat heavy it is. So this vegetarian power bowl was really satisfying for me in week 2! As my taste buds start to change, I find that I pick up on sweetness and saltiness in places I never used to, like […]
Paleo (and Vegan!) Spiced Winter Squash Soup
Tis the season for warm flavors and hot soups. Winter squash makes the BEST soups and this one has an unexpected twist of tofu. Even though there is currently a debate on eating tofu on the Paleo diet, I am ok eating it in moderation from time to time. Adding protein without taking away from […]
Whole30/Paleo Apple & Onion Braised Pork Medallions
The other day, I was looking through Amelia’s 1st year photo album and I saw a picture of us apple picking. She was eating her first whole apple and loving it. She would take the tiniest bites and the juice would dribble down her chin. She laughed so hard and her innocence made my heart […]
Whole30/Paleo Crockpot/Instant Pot Chili
I do love chili and I love it even more when I know it’s easy to make! Here’s an easy Whole30 approved chili that will keep you warm all winter long. It’s full of good for you veggies and doesn’t lack any taste! I made it in my crockpot, but there are directions for an […]
Lobster Ravioli in a Champagne Cream Sauce
Many years ago (before I met Trevor!), I went traveling to the south of France and had some of the best wine and champagne of my life. Cooking with wine is so natural for them since they are surrounded by it. And they make the best sauces with it, which adds the sweetest flavors to their […]
Christmas Tortellini Soup
Another week, another soup! My favorite! This one is a good refrigerator dump – empty whatever you have in your fridge into the pot and you have one amazing soup! This one shines using the colors of Christmas, and is light enough to eat anytime of year. I used fresh cherry tomatoes today, but usually […]
Jewish Holiday Brisket
Every year during Hanukkah growing up, my parents would get a nice brisket for the entire family that we’d all enjoy on Hanukkah. My mom used beer to tenderize and marinate it in all sorts of things (from broth to beer) and over the years, more and more vegetables were added to the mix. I […]
Sweet Potato & Carrot Latkes (Potato Pancakes)
Latkes, aka potato pancakes, are a Hanukkah staple. But they are good just about any time of year served alongside a rotisserie chicken or a piece of salmon. They’re crispy, fried veggie patties and my favorite way to eat them is with a dollop of apple sauce on top. You can use any kind of […]
