Easy Twisted Nutella Danish

Every have one of those nights where you’re just cravvvvinnnggg something crunchy, salty, creamy, chocolatey and just good (or bad, depending on how you look at it)?! Well friends, tonight is that night for me.

I usually keep puffed pastry in the freezer for a quick dinner or dessert and I’m so glad I did. I wanted to make something like my pull-apart Nutella snowflake, but on a smaller scale. THESE ARE IT! They’re 1-handed delicious, crunchy balls of goodness and they hit every food desire I needed tonight. Did I mention how good they are?

Just make these. You won’t regret it!

Easy Twisted Nutella Danish

  • Difficulty: easy
  • Print

Ingredients

  • 2 sheets frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 cup Nutella, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats. Set aside.
  2. Evenly spread the Nutella on each puff pastry sheet. Sprinkle coarsely chopped hazelnuts over one sheet.

  3. Fold the puff pastry sheet without hazelnuts over the other sheet. The Nutella sides should now face each other.img_3790
  4. Cut the layered sheet lengthwise into 1/2-inch-wide strips. Gently twist each strip several times and roll the twisted pastry into a coil. Place on the prepared baking sheet and tuck the end of the twist under the coil.img_3796
