Chia & Hemp Seed Oatmeal

On Friday, I wanted to make Matilda a special Memorial Day Birthday breakfast that she would eat and love all weekend long. I like to make sure she has a balance of carbs to protein to fruit and veg in her diet across the day and week, and these tick so many of those boxes.

Chia and flax have little taste so they’re great to sprinkle on any foods. Hemp seeds have an earthy flavor but disappear in oatmeal for those kids that might be picky about food appearances. All 3 provide a great vegetarian way of getting much needed protein. They are also full of fiber and a bunch of other good-for-you stuff. img_1976

After Matilda devoured a while bowl, I tried it and ate a whole bowl myself. I promise these are absolutely delicious!
