Homemade Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

It’s summer – it’s hot – so we want ice cream! And lots of it! But with the kids home, I don’t want to be running to the store multiple times a week for different ice creams, most of which have a bunch of ingredients in them that I don’t know what they are. So, for Matilda’s birthday this year, she got a Cuisinart Ice Cream machine. She actually asked for this and to be honest, I was very (pleasantly) surprised! This is a really nice, real, not- kid, ice cream machine and I highly, highly recommend it!

The Cuisinart ice cream machine comes with a good recipe book, but I wanted to find a mint chocolate chip recipe that had reviews and comments. This recipe below is from Allrecipes, and I can now attest, it is such a deliciously creamy recipe. The ingredients are all available in a normal grocery store, so now having to go searching for weird ingredients you’ll probably never use again. And it only takes about 5 minutes of hands on time to prep.

I’m going to share some more ice creams that we make this summer, so let me know what your favorite kind is and I’ll make it next! Happy summer!
