Tiger Shrimp in Garlic Ginger Soy Sauce

Good morning and happy Monday! How was everyone’s weekend? We had a low key weekend and I just love those! We stayed home, cooked and played games. A perfect family weekend!

During one of our Monopoly breaks, I decided to cook this Tiger Shrimp dish for dinner. I saw these at Costco over the weekend and hadn’t had tiger shrimp before. After speaking with the fish guy there, he convinced me to try them, and I’m so glad we did! Tiger shrimp are humongous (!!) shrimp with a firm texture and sweet taste. If you haven’t liked shrimp in the past because of how soft or fishy they are, then you might want to try these. They’re a very easy shrimp to eat and enjoy!

I typically like a shrimp scampi or Italian style shrimp, but I’ve made all different types of shrimp in all different types of ways. This time, I wanted more of my favorite Asian flavors with it, so I went with this Garlic, Ginger and Soy Sauce one. It definitely did not disappoint!

This one was super easy to make, but I would suggest having all your ingredients ready as everything happens fairly quickly once you start the cooking process. And shrimp cook quickly!! The other thing I would recommend is cooking these shrimp in batches. They start off so big and you don’t want to steam them in the pan. They cook quickly though so it doesn’t take long to swap them out.

What’s your favorite seafood dish? I’d love to hear in the comments below! Happy eating!
