Simple Buttermilk Waffles

Good morning! How is your weekend going so far? I’m good but tireddddd! My younger daughter woke me up at an ungodly hour this am (it began with the number 5) and requested waffles for breakfast. So, we got up and broke out the waffle maker to made a simple, but easy buttermilk waffle. My youngest did the mixing and I did the cooking. While tired, it was such a sweet morning.

As for the waffles, these are the kind of waffles you want when you go to a diner – thick with a slight crunch on the outside, but soft on the inside. I love topping them with fresh maple syrup, fruit and a little powered sugar, but the topping possibilities are truly endless! But if you want another kind of waffle, I have lots of options here!

What’s your favorite way to make waffles? Let me know in the comments below! Happy cooking!
